- ➤ California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced the arrest of three people accused of running an identity theft scheme—allegedly opening illegal credit accounts after stealing identities from 13 individuals to fraudulently obtain over $100,000 in merchandise from retailers across Alameda, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties and Southern California.
