- ➤ A swarm of six minor earthquakes shook the San Ramon area Friday night, with the strongest hitting 4.0 at about 7:30 p.m. No damage was reported (the area has seen steady seismic activity lately) and experts say such quakes do not predict a larger one soon. KTVU
- ➤ Sixteen earthquakes shook the Tri-Valley on Friday evening, starting with a 2.5 quake at 7:41 p.m. near San Ramon and followed by two 4.0 shocks that were part of a historic swarm—the largest in the past 50 years. San Francisco Chronicle
