- ➤ Roses’ Taproom— a popular local brewery— is closing in Oakland due to falling beer sales and an unsustainable brewing model. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ California Attorney General Rob Bonta ordered Oakland-based Flipcause to stop its operations and transfer all cash to a blocked bank account by Dec. 12 after nonprofits reported months-long delays in receiving donations—Flipcause must deliver a full asset accounting and list of charities since 2015 within 30 days, with 17 groups owed over $645,000. - ➤ During the government shutdown, more than 360 flights were cancelled at Bay Area airports because many air traffic controllers were unpaid and did not report for work.
