- ➤ The Oakland Museum of California has a new exhibit called Good Fire — Tending Native Lands that shows how Native American controlled burns once shaped healthy land and how colonization removed this practice. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in Oakland, Piedmont, Alameda, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley and Hayward noticed a different taste in their tap water after the East Bay Municipal Utility District adjusted its blend by pulling more water from local sources and the Pardee Reservoir on the Mokelumne River—changing the water's mineral content. Officials explained that these seasonal adjustments, made as demand shifts, are normal and do not affect water quality. SFGate
