- ➤ Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 715 and Senate Bill 48 to establish new civil rights and antisemitism prevention roles in public schools, and the Oakland Jewish Alliance praised the move to protect students from bias. - ➤ Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that starting Jan. 1, Californians can buy packs of insulin pens for a capped price of $55 per pack, meaning each pen costs $11. Pharmacies will buy the packs for $45 and sell them with a $10 markup—an effort to lower costs for the 3.5 million residents with diabetes. KTVU
