- ➤ Hyphy Burger will open a second location in East Oakland at 9895 East 14th St.—a renovated former KFC space cleared by health officials that will serve its popular smashburgers, fries, and milkshakes. - ➤ Oakland police said that an initial investigation showed that Saturday morning shootings that killed two people and wounded at least four were not linked to the festival that ended hours earlier — Oakland First Fridays organizers stated the tragic incidents happened outside the event’s period.
