- ➤ Louisiana-based Raising Cane's announced plans to expand in the Bay Area with four new restaurants—one in Morgan Hill scheduled to open this fall, another in San Jose set for next spring, a new San Francisco site planned for late summer 2026, and a Berkeley restaurant being developed near UC Berkeley after a Walgreens pharmacy closure—and will boost its local count from six to ten locations. - ➤ Sun Moon Studio in West Oakland earned a Michelin star last June and offers a 12-seat tasting menu that features local California produce—reservations are released six weeks in advance.
