📰 Finance
The GOP tax megabill signed in July will let parents save for K–12 private school tuition by expanding 529 accounts to allow an annual withdrawal of up to $20,000—covering new expenses like books and tutoring.
In California, such withdrawals will incur a 2.5% penalty and state income tax—factors that may reduce the saving benefit.
