- ➤ Oakland police reported that a fatal shooting in West Oakland on Tuesday morning resulted in one death and they are investigating the incident. San Francisco Chronicle

- ➤ On Tuesday, authorities issued an air quality advisory for Oakland as toxic smoke from the Gifford Fire (mega fire) drifted north from the Central Coast and advised residents to stay indoors and close windows.
