- ➤ Adil Jakvani from Oakland returned from Egypt on Tuesday after joining the Global March to Gaza—his group’s planned route from Cairo to Rafah was halted when tensions rose and marchers were detained. - ➤ Healthcare workers at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland held a strike yesterday over an integration plan that would shift their jobs to the University of California in July—union reps claim the change would cut take-home pay by about $10,000 a year.
