- ➤ Oakland police arrested Zocari Hicks for the November 20, 2021 homicide of 17-year-old Claijon Tolbert-Bundy on Carrington Street — they also arrested Deshaun Mays for the May 23 homicide of Sirjewel Brooks near International Boulevard as investigators continue to seek additional persons of interest. - ➤ Oakland City Council will vote on June 17 on converting more billboards into digital ads that may generate $35 million; $2.3 million is already secured to help balance the budget and fund local nonprofits+offer free advertising for community groups and schools. ABC7
