- ➤ An 18-year-old suspect faced court Monday for the fatal crash that killed Oakland teacher Marvin Boomer — his new attorney said he panicked when police followed him and he postponed his plea to June 20. ABC7

- ➤ Parents at Montclair Elementary are angry because a racist entry from a 1940 article appeared in the new yearbook, Otter Magic — they want the book reprinted instead of using a sticker to cover the page.
