- ➤ Oakland fire crews knocked down a blaze at a red-tagged vacant building at 3575 Alameda Avenue that had seen several fires in the past two years — firefighters arrived at 2:50 p.m. and had the fire controlled by 3:45 p.m. with no injuries while investigators looked into its cause. ABC7
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An Oakland woman and a Sacramento man were arrested for burgling a Mill Valley medical facility in December 2024 and using stolen bank cards for fraudulent purchases, authorities said—both were booked into Marin County Jail. KTVU
- ➤ Officers responded to multiple calls Friday night after a shooting at upscale Pierre Pierre on 13th Street near Tribune Tower—investigators are probing the incident after a man and a woman were injured and are in stable condition. KTVU
- ➤ A Berkeley man (28) was arrested after he threw a live grenade from a stolen car during a chase that began near 38th Street and Cerrito Avenue in Oakland and ended in Berkeley where officers secured the grenade and searched his home for additional explosives. San Francisco Chronicle
