- ➤ Former Oakland City Councilmember Loren Taylor conceded to former Congresswoman Barbara Lee in the mayoral race after he called her to congratulate her—vote counts showed Lee with 52% and Taylor with 47% as about 300 mail-in ballots were being checked. Lee is set to become Oakland's first Black female mayor if the results hold. ABC7
