- ➤ PG&E announced a plan to bury 1,077 miles of powerlines underground as part of its 2026-2028 Wildfire Mitigation Plan to lower wildfire risk in high-risk areas—its cost will be set later through regulatory filings. KTVU

- ➤ Oakland voters cast ballots in a special mayoral election held Tuesday to choose a leader after former Mayor Sheng Thao was recalled—nine candidates competed including frontrunners Barbara Lee and Loren Taylor.
