- ➤ An Oakland police officer was hospitalized after an unprovoked attack on Friday afternoon near 104th Avenue and International Boulevard at about 3:30 p.m. — detectives detained the suspect and reported the officer's condition as stable. KTVU
- ➤ Authorities renewed their investigation into the cold case after 22-year-old Angelo Ravella was fatally shot on March 28, 2003 in San Lorenzo while riding in his friend's car (a dark-colored vehicle resembling an 1980s Cadillac sped away as a suspect described as a white or Hispanic man aged 18 to 25 wearing a black beanie is sought).
