  • An Oakland police officer was hospitalized after an unprovoked attack on Friday afternoon near 104th Avenue and International Boulevard at about 3:30 p.m. — detectives detained the suspect and reported the officer's condition as stable.  KTVU
  • Authorities renewed their investigation into the cold case after 22-year-old Angelo Ravella was fatally shot on March 28, 2003 in San Lorenzo while riding in his friend's car (a dark-colored vehicle resembling an 1980s Cadillac sped away as a suspect described as a white or Hispanic man aged 18 to 25 wearing a black beanie is sought).  KTVU
  • Investigators are seeking new information in the cold case of Angelo Ravella (22) who was fatally shot in a drive-by killing in San Lorenzo on March 28th, 2003 when a car resembling a 1980s Cadillac fired on his truck near Via Chiquita and Bockman Road.  San Francisco Chronicle
  • An Oakland police officer was injured when a pedestrian punched him through a patrol car window at a traffic light on International Boulevard on Friday at 3:30 p.m.—officers left the vehicle to arrest the man, and the injured officer was treated at a nearby hospital before being released.  San Francisco Chronicle

  • Local leaders and community activists plan to build a new infill BART station at 13th Avenue at East Eighth Street in East Oakland to reconnect residents with the waterfront and Brooklyn Basin development—an effort that must secure candidate backing before the April 15 special election. The station will provide easier access to jobs and services—helping revitalize one of Oakland’s most underserved neighborhoods.  San Francisco Chronicle
