- ➤ Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in East Oakland on Monday at about 4:15 p.m. on the 1400 block of 100th Avenue + a victim was found, taken to a local hospital, and pronounced dead. KTVU

- ➤ Oakland is seeking volunteers to join a new five-member Public Safety Planning and Oversight Commission that will review $47 million in tax dollars from Measure NN to fund extra police, fire, and violence prevention services.
