- ➤ Peet’s Coffee said it will no longer charge extra for plant-based milks—after Beatles star Paul McCartney and PETA urged the company to drop the upcharge. The change brings the chain in line with others and supports cleaner environmental practices. San Francisco Chronicle
- ➤ Perle, a local wine bar with a French—Mediterranean menu, said it will close on March 31 after eight years serving Montclair Village. - ➤ Oakland police said a suspect was arrested in San Francisco after being linked to the fatal shooting of a woman in a Motel 6 parking lot along the Embarcadero on Thursday—an incident police said resulted from domestic violence. KTVU
