- ➤ Sequoia Diner has been sold to Third Vision LLC, who operates Solano Junction & Fandee’s. The sale is in escrow with a February finalization expected, and new owners will retain the diner name while keeping most current employees at the location in Oakland’s Laurel District. - ➤ BART halted service on the Yellow line between Concord and Orinda yesterday due to a trackside power issue — a bus bridge has been requested to help riders during delays. Crews are working to restore service as soon as possible. ABC7

- ➤ California health officials said 35 people have fallen ill from death cap mushrooms collected across the Bay Area, including Oakland Hills, since November — three adults died, and three had liver transplants.
